The Golden Compass?
I've seen out there on the shelf for ages and I've never picked up by the cover that I thought it was for children middle school. However, now the movie is coming out, and looks kind of interesting, so I wonder about the book again, especially since the film is rated PG-13. Do you think anyone not in middle school like him? I mean, is it a children's book-ish? I am a high school student, sooo if that helps …
Yes, I know many adults who enjoy this trilogy, especially the last book. There are many adult themes in this book that are so that everyone can enjoy them at least, though not fully understood. Kind've as Harry Potter. Although I heard the film is cut the religious dimension concerned largely with the trilogy of corruption of the church and God (in his world), which in my opinion is not children at all. Give it a try if you do not like that's OK, but I think you will find it too childish.
